Improving Employee Performance

Each year employees are given performance reviews and in some cases the overall experience can be negative. However, there is one way for the company and the employee to benefit from this potentially uncomfortable situation. If a business decides to utilize performance improvement plans then both parties stand to gain from the review. The employer is able to set their up their expectations while maintaining a written agreement from the employee to meet or exceed company requirements. The employee has a written record of the agreement and a clear understanding of what is expected of each party involved. By using performance improvement plans both parties understand each other’s position.
