ADHD Can Lead To Learning Disabilities

Experts estimate that at least 7% of American school children are dealing with ADHD. While no one is exactly sure what causes this condition, teachers are well aware of how difficult it is to teach students with this type of learning disability. Students with ADHD face problems with distractions that don’t bother other children. Such stimuli in their environment as outside noises, smells, and bright lights can lead to them not being able to pay attention in class. Some of these kids are given medications, such as Ritalin, to counteract their ADHD. Others have parents who are hesitant to medicate them, which means they’ll be unable to concentrate in school.
